Concerning today’s midterm national elections, the advice of the new guy on high at Twitter that “Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic,” is a flawed nostrum.

Since and beginning with the election of Barack Obama as US president in 2008, the Republican Party Congressional members in both houses of the US Congress have founded and adhered to the politically partisan strategy and practice of relentless gridlock against and obstruction of legislative initiatives, with the exceptions of tax cuts, cuts of or to social spending, or benefits to primarily the fossil fuels companies and big business, of the Democratic Party member US president to deprive the Democratic Party member US president of legislative successes and achievements that could boost the political popularity and reelectability of the Democratic Party member President and/or the electability of other Democratic Party member public office incumbents or debut candidates for public office -- this Republican strategy sprouted its roots in the Democratic Party Bill Clinton presidency, elected in November of 1992 and reelected in November of 1996.

Furthermore, a democracy or true republic (which is a representative democracy with democratic administrative and parliamentary governance processes, protocols and laws that govern the representatives) does not internally nor should in external alliances share power with invader-colonizer, dictatorial, autocratic, oligarchical, fascist, authoritarian, totalitarian, NAZI pigmentocracy, racist, ethnocentric, theocentric discriminatory and apartheid regimes. The GOP now embodies the autocratic, oligarchical, fascist, authoritarian, NAZI and racist sentiments and conduct of these.

In paraphrase of the words of GOP US Congressional members and a recently departed very popular GOP-promoter radio talk-show personality, after Obama took office as US president in January of 2009, the said GOP strategy was intended to make the Obama presidency a failed one from start to finish in his first term, which, against the odds for Obama, it did not from then to over the whole of his reelection second term.

The GOP sham-issue campaign of crime increase under Democratic Party elected leadership governance is a stable one for the GOP in which even though crime rates nationally have overall declined under the Democratic Party leadership Clinton, Obama and Biden presidencies compared to and over those of their GOP predecessor and successor presidencies, nevertheless crime, and egregious crime, from household crime and street crime to organizational and institutional crime and to commercial crime and white-collar crime of all kinds, of individual and group, folks white, pink, black, brown, tan, yellowish and red, men, women, adolescent and child, lowly and highly educated, and of no to high wealth perpetrators, occurs across all presidencies and in all cities and towns all of the time, making crime and the issue of crime an alway available politically demagogic issue of attack at any time against a Democratic Party president, governor, mayor, attorney general, district attorney or sheriff who does not fight back informationally and in informational political campaigns with the truth-establishing facts.  

The shocking new mode and trend of the crime of smash and grab, grab and dash, and mob and grab at jewelry, high-end boutique and department stores, typically recorded on store cameras and televised and picture printed in newspaper and online news, has wrongly become associated in much of the public mind with slack public governance and law-enforcement by and under elected governance officials of the Democratic Party.  The naive and impractical slogan of "Defund the police," a slogan in disregard of crime being universal and endemic to human society and in defiance of overwhelming commonsense, asserted by GOP activists and political candidate critics of the Democratic Party as being the ideology and an agenda point of the Democratic Party is another falsehood that has hurt the Democratic Party, which does not represent the politics and historical political tactics of the organization that coined it.  Both of these issues have been misassociated with and pinned on the Democratic Party and hurt the election bids of an important number or many of its candidates for elective offices.  

While there are always fluctuations in crime rates in which there will or may be a periodic or current critical-level increase in a particular type or number of types of crime as well as against a particular demographic subpopulation of victims or set of such demographic victims, overall crime rates may not increase or may decline. 

(Most of the people of the USA probably realize or know that the indeed real spike in violent attacks and harassment of US citizens and visitors in the US of Far Eastern Asian physical identity is tied to the public rhetoric in mockery and disparagement of China and Chinese culture that was repeatedly uttered by President Trump in his apparent reaction of upset to the investigative finding that the COVID-19 pandemic originated in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), as well as to conspiracies stories widely circulated in the US by right-wingers that the COVID-19 virus was a biological warfare agent or test agent created in the PRC and was deliberately or accidentally released from a microbiology lab in the PRC.)

The staple GOP campaign game is to slander Democratic Party elective governance and law-enforcement office candidates as being weak on crime control and punishment (while the GOP and its elected officials and candidates for elective public office almost unanimously oppose legislating, at any level of government, the banning of military featured and grade semiautomatic guns, accessories and munitions characteristically used in massacre murders that have become routine in the USA), to routinely offer tax reductions, favoring the rich and big business (their premium, most valued political money donors), at the expense of public health and services support for the socioeconomically displaced and indigent, with contempt and insensitivity toward homeless women, children, adolescents, men, the disabled, the sick and elderly, and at the neglect of public infrastructure left to decay, and at the sacrifice of and taxation of Social Security pensions, to in part pay for the tax cuts by federal budget-management offsets, to blame Democratic Party elected officials for excessive taxing and social, as opposed to military, spending, and to blame elected Democratic Party public governance officials for undocumented immigration [of primarily nonwhite people], a problem they have done nothing about legislatively when they were able to with their combined presidential and both Congressional houses control, most recently under the expressively anti-Mexican Trump presidency (maybe because duplicitously while they complain about undocumented immigration to their grass-roots xenophobic constituency, they also want to keep a supply of subminimum wage, with no fringe benefits, undocumented immigrants and workers, with unrecognized legal rights in GOP-governed and controlled states, coming, when needed, and finding their way to certain GOP-governed and controlled states and businesses wanting their labor).

Incidentally, the inflated gas, utilities-energy and food prices are the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic-related national social and business down-scaling and shutdowns, on a global basis, begun and mismanaged under the Trump presidency for the US, drastically reducing employment, and the production of goods and their shipment to retailers and customers, resulting in shortages of goods relative to the local and global consumer demand and competition for them, and from the Putin regime of Russia and its OPEC partner nations reducing the supply of oil and gas to NATO member nations and the USA, driving up the price of the supplies of them available in these nations. This inflation and these inflated prices are not the cause of the Biden presidency.

The bombing and shelling of Ukrainian municipalities, or urban centers, and towns and villages, civilian habitations, by the armed forces of Russia and their collaborators under the command and direction of the Putin political-military regime of Russia are meant to degrade and demolish their habitability and thereby inflict intolerable survival-related deprivation and suffering, as well as societal disorganization, chaos, panic, despair and flight, on the civilian population of Ukraine, the bulk of the Ukrainian populace and voting citizenry, stress them and the political leadership of Ukraine at all levels of society into longing for peace and to surrender to the Russian regime for a cessation of and relief from such hostilities against and destruction of Ukraine, as well as into rebelling against their top national political and military leaders prosecuting a war against the invader Russian armed forces of Ukrainian sovereign territory.

In this situation, it does not matter how much the Russian armed forces in Ukraine lose (soldiers, weaponry, etc., positions and territory) to the Ukrainian armed forces, they are able endlessly to conduct their demolition military bombing and artillery strikes against Ukrainian defenseless, sitting-ducks civilian-center cities, towns and villages.

On 07-19-2022 I read a science news article on the mysterious .20-decimal second, recurrent FRB resembling a heartbeat pattern and lasting for a record total duration for an FRB of 3 seconds.  The article reported that the energy source of that FRB would have to have been that of hundreds of millions of solar masses, and that pulsar or magnetar neutron stars that otherwise could explain the source of past FRBs did not fit as sources because of their single digit masses, equated with energy magnitude, recurrent heartbeat pattern and comparative, to past FRBs, extreme duration.  I attempted to save the article, to which I posted the following comment; however, the article did not save.  So I tried to research it online but could not find an article mentioning the reference to the hundreds of millions of solar masses but I did find a reputable science article on the same FRB without reference to the said solar-mass energy, whose click-on hyperlink is posted at the conclusion of this herein Twitter post of mine.  The comment I posted was:  “Celestial FRBs (fast radio-wavelength bursts) associated with the energy output of hundreds of millions of times of the energy magnitude of or output produced by our sun, our solar-planetary system's star, within a decimal second or three seconds could only be produced by a supermassive black hole, of equivalence or greater in mass, of some kind and in some way, and nothing else.” (I actually used the term milliseconds, which I saw in the numerous news stories I read on this particular FRB but which I knew was the incorrect term, instead of the term decimal seconds, an imperfect term but the best fit, in my aforementioned quoted comment.)  Supermassive black holes with such magnitudes of solar masses are well known to astronomers and human astronomy to exist.

 

In afterthought, I add the caveat that there is a weak outside chance that a small galaxy or large star cluster (a globular star cluster) with hundreds of millions of solar masses, rotating globularly as a unit, at the extreme speed of a pulsar or magnetar neutron star, or a black hole, that could be the energy source and cause of this particular heartbeat repeating FRB, a weak chance because neither a small galaxy nor globular cluster of stars has ever shown anything close to the observed necessary extreme spin velocity to generate the decimal-second time of any FRB, including the concerned FRB, whereas pulsar and magnetar neutron stars commonly have and so have black holes, some black holes of which have been radio-telescopically clocked to spin at half the speed of light, circa 335,000,000 miles per hour.  Nor has any galaxy, small or large, nor globular star cluster made of up of only or primarily either or a mix  of pulsar and/or magnetar neutron stars, or all variety of neutron stars, ever been reported to have been observed in the astronomical observations of astronomy.  Among other explanations as to how a black hole or black holes could produce this and some of the other FRBs, is the one that when two or more black holes merge, they probably generate more than outwardly going gravitational shock waves, insofar as their individually orbiting huge and powerful accretion disks of volatile chemical gas and particulate matter, and photospheres, most probably collide during their merger and ignite or trigger a chaos of astronomically large and powerful explosions of all possible kinds, possibly including nuclear explosions, that as a result radiate their own concomitant, with gravitational waves, radio frequency or wavelength blasts, and/or nuclear explosion-related EMP (electromagnetic-pulse) blast/s, into and through the surrounding outer space of the universe.  Supermassive black holes, of hundreds of millions to billions of solar masses in magnitude, might have gravitationally entrained orbiting satellites, beyond their accretion disks and toruses, of stars, with or without celestial-body solar systems, whose stars might include neutron stars, maybe pulsars and/or magnetars, and binary, or multisystem, stars, that are absorbed in, and smash up during, the black hole mergers and in some situations are cause for or contributors of cause for the concerned FRBs.

The precise reason that their arms are small can be deduced from looking at extant bipedal or semi-bipedal species such as humans, (penguins), kangaroos, wallabies, kangaroo mice, praying mantises (insects that typically stand on 4 legs, with two others functioning as arms, instead of 6 legs that are the standard for insects), as well as less so the great apes and lesser apes, respectively of chimps, bonobos, gorillas, orangutans and gibbons, Barbary apes, as well as the ground-dwelling monkeys of various species of baboons, which is because they no longer walk and run, as a matter of course, or characteristically, at all or materially as much on their front limbs, which were previously strictly legs and feet, when they were four-legged, four-footed animals, with all limbs, and their attached four feet too then, ground-bound and propping up and supporting their bodies and body weight. With the freeing of their once front legs and feet from being ground-bound and weight-bearing and the repurposing of the front limbs and feet to being characteristically arms and hands free/d from bearing body weight, or in such a transition as in the case of the referenced apes and baboons, there would be, over generations of their descendant posterity, substantial or appreciable bone, muscle-mass and connective tissue diminishment of or loss for them, in a sense adaptation-related limited atrophy for them in their new bio-architectural form and usage as arms and hands or hand analogs. The more characteristically upright standing a species is in its mobility and awake-state activities, over a numerous critical number of generations of descendent offspring, the less in appearance and function its leg-and-feet front limbs would tend to be and the more arm-and-hand appearing and functioning they would tend to be. The hind legs and feet of the changed animal species would tend to gain size and bone, muscle and connective-tissue mass with them taking over the burden and workload of bearing the weight of the body on their own that is no longer or much less supported by the front limbs (except in the case of the praying mantis insect, retaining four legs for standing and holding up the bulk of its body while using its forelimbs as arms and hands or analogs of them), become or in the state of transition to arms and hands, or analogs of hands, [as adjuncts] for predation.  

 

In the case of T-rex body-architecture shaped, bipedal dinosaurs with enormous heads and bodies and small arms and proportional hands or hand analogs to their arms, because of the giant size of their heads and protruding mouths and many huge teeth, like hyenas, wolves, dogs, monitor lizards, alligators and crocodiles of our time, they would both be superlatively efficient bite-attack hunters and bite fighters as well as protective of their head and the rest of their body with their greatly larger head, mouth and many such teeth, with the additional advantage afforded to them with their characteristic upright mobility stature of panoramic vision over their environments, prey and combatant competitors bound to the ground with their four legs and four feet attached to their legs, and of comparatively rapid upper-body, including perhaps independently their head  and whole-body swaying, swiveling, bending forward and back and turning and turnaround ability, as well as the potential or capability to rapidly hop high and long lengths with both of their bipedal legs and feet and to kick with a leg and foot, obviating their need for using their arms for hunting and combat or defense, although their arms and hands or analogs of hands very well may have been formidable for swatting off and felling lesser prey and pack or leaping predator-competitor animals with them for  their common prey animals that were not large dinosaurs, such as lions, tigers, bears, etc., if they existed during their geological era, or small and modest-sized dinosaurs of their era.  Incidentally, lions, tigers, cats of all kinds in general and bears have dual use front limbs that function as two of their normal four legs and feet for ground mobility and as a set of two arms and clawed paws for climbing trees and swatting, mauling, clutching, subduing and killing prey and other predator-competitor animals.  Unlike with male cats, which have retractable genitalia that are internal until they engage in sexual intercourse, it is risky and a disadvantage for canines to bipedally stand and locomote upright because in doing so they would, especially males, expose their externalized vulnerable reproductive and pain highly susceptible genitalia to assault and injury or destruction by other attack animals, a disadvantage in upright stature and locomotion that dinosaurs, predecessors and relatives, if not the progenitors, of birds, with a T-rex like body architecture, might not have had in their possibly having had, for males, internal genitals, kept within the cloaca as in the case of birds, that could, like in male birds, be externalized for reproductive coitus with females.  In societally primitive humans, clothing, such as a loin cloth or covering at a minimum, as well as the human weapons of stick or torch wielded fire, knives, spears and shields could respectively hide, and possibly protect against and fend off or kill attacker animals before they could attack their genitalia.  What the latter have in common with the referenced primate species is that both of these kinds of animals regularly or occasionally climb up, about in and down trees and are lineage climbers of and residents or sojourners in or of trees, which work as an ecological niche in establishing and maintaining the arms and hands or paws of their putatively once strictly front legs and feet.  The arms and bladed or clawed hands of T-rex body-like dinosaurs could have been used to push and poke, or slash, or possibly even stab, other animals, and scrape meat from the bones of a carcass that they might desire to savor while eating it, and to help them upright themselves, their bodies, from falls to the ground or from sitting or reclining related to rest or sleep, as in pushing in a needed direction (on a side or from side to side and/or below and behind), along with their tails, against the ground to initiate the uplifting of their bodies, as well as to help them seat or recline themselves for rest or sleep and to lift and handle their infants and to tussle with and box one another like kangaroos and wallabies of our age ritualistically do.  Their tremendous size and weight insinuate that their body architecture and type were highly successful in feeding and prospering themselves in hunting and fighting.  Though their circa 3-foot-long arms might have been as large and powerful as those of the most powerful grizzly bears of our time, the small size of their arms relative to their huge dinosaur bodies would make more biological sense in purposefulness if they attached to penguin-like, bat-like or great-blue-heron-bird-like, etc., wings on the T-rex dinosaur model scale.  I saw a video of a penguin facing down on glacial or snow-covered ground lift its body upright by pressing its wings forward against that ground.

Trutherism

Trutherism is a political tactic and was formally born and institutionalized in the Republican Party, plus, in the 2008 US presidential election.  It is the tactic of collaborative, organized, mass, tenacious and viral mantra mendacity (mantra lying, or a mantra lying campaign, often proliferating tacitly by imitative contagion) for political or economic gain, or both, or for the purpose of manipulating and forging either mass or majority public belief and political control, in which belief becomes the artificial, fake truth, or mind-control delusion, that can block out and depose recognition of and belief in actual truth itself for dupes.  (Truthers use smear tactics, or smear-tactic campaigns, of all kinds as well.)

As a government and political practice, tenacious choral and mantra lying, trutherism, originated improvisationally in the first term of the George W. Bush Presidency (of which G.W. Bush, a Republican, was a two-term president from January 20, 2001 to January 20, 2009) following the Septermber 11, 2001 (9/11) hijacked jihadist airliner attacks on the World Trade Center in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington, DC, as a means to manufacture and evangelize excuses for his administration to launch a military invasion and war of regime change on Iraq, with the second-largest oil production and known natural oil reserves, at the time, in the world, by attempting to connect Iraq to the al-Qaeda terrorist organization that was the political-military base of the 19 kamikazi-hijackers (15 from Saudi Arabia, 2 from the United Arab Emirates, 1 from Lebanon and 1 from Egypt) of the 9/11 airliners they commandeered to crash-attack into the WTC and Pentagon, and the airliner that failed its attack, an organization and hijackers with which and whom Iraq was found to have no relationship, other than one of mutual enmity between the government of Iraq and the al-Qaeda organization.  Thereafter, the G.W. Bush administration, as the default justification for its US military invasion and occupation of Iraq, with change of its regime, doggedly alleged authoritatively and with voices and the rhetoric of certainty that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction that posed a threat to nation-state friends of the USA and to the USA itself, as though Iraq possessed the population size and a navy, airforce and amphibious army, with the most elite military training and advanced weaponry and combat machinery of humanity, that could and would dare to cross the oceans to invade and [try to] conquer the USA, although all of the series of inspectors and investigators of Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) and access to weapons' grade uranium abroad, found that Iraq neither possessed nor had access to any of either -- the WMD inspectors and investigators were retired Colonel Scott Ritter of the USMC, Hans Blix of the UN, Professor Joseph Wilson, yellow-cake uranium investigator appointed by the G.W. Bush administration, David A. Kay, veteran diplomat, nuclear weapons expert and chief US arms inspector for the CIA, and Charles Duelfer, special advisor to the director of the CIA.  Nevertheless, top political officials of the G.W. A Truther, aka birther, of the truther-birther movement, initially was a disinformation activist against then-presidential candidate US Senator Barack Obama, D-IL, during the campaign season of the US presidential election of 2008 and after Barack Obama had been elected US president on November 4, 2008.  The truther-birther white-racist populist canard was that presidential candidate Barack Obama in that election was born outside of the USA and so was constitutionally disqualified from running for or being elected US president, a canard in which publicity hound, rich-man Donald Trump was publicly the leading vocal activist, and their canard that he was a Muslim, implicitly a dangerous, anti-American jihadist Muslim.  Both of these claims of theirs were well known to be false and proven to be false.  Barack Obama was the [black-white] biracial child of a white American mother who was a professor and a Kenyan father who was an economist but also an authoritarian and condescending husband toward Barack's mother and an alcoholic who died in an automobile accident.  Barack Obama was raised primarily by his professionally, internationally traveling, on academic assignments, mother, and, after she died of cancer as a relatively young woman, by her parents, who were middle-class white Americans who lived in a white community in Kansas.  He was not only a Christian but a practicing Christian, as an adult in an African-American congregation Christian church in Chicago, IL.  An official of an agency of birth records in the state of Hawaii, the state in which he was born, confirmed publicly to interested news media the place, year and day of his birth, and later, with his permission, publicly released a copy of his birth certificate to the interested news media -- his birth in the USA state of Hawaii was also confirmed by a newspaper record of it announcing it shortly after his birth.  Prior to the latter, a video and photos with a political disinformation news story were disseminated online and elsewhere of a claimed Kenyan elder woman relative of his father, and thereby of Barack Obama, who said that he was born in Kenya.  Incidentally, at a GOP presidential election campaign rally of his opponent US Senator John McCain, R-AZ, a shrieking Karen yelled out emphatically “He’s a Muslim!,” to which John McCain replied that he was not but that he was a Christian, and an honorable or decent man.  At either another or the same campaign rally for candidate McCain, the GOP crowd roared the chant “Nigger!  Nigger! -- Kill him!  Kill him!,” in reference to McCain’s Democratic Party opponent candidate Barack Obama, to which McCain replied, in vocally competing with the crowd to speak to it, “No, No! -- Stop!  Stop!,” and schooled the GOP crowd on decency.  There was one more particularly egregious truther incident during that campaign season, by a Karen GOP activist, a resident of Texas, but an incident that occurred in a different state, who reported that she, a very chunky and ugly young white woman, was attacked on the street at an ATM site, knocked down, robbed and fondled and had her clothing, or some part of her body, scrawled on in writing with a politically and racially partisan and inflammatory slogan by a black man, which the white police who investigated the alleged incident found to be false and which she confessed was a story she had fabricated, apparently to hurt the Obama candidacy and help the GOP McCain candidacy.  References -- click on and read:   https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-perpetuated-birther-movement-years/story?id=42138176,  https://www.americanprogress.org/article/behind-the-birther-movement/,  https://www.obamaconspiracy.org/2012/01/what-is-the-birther-movement/, https://www.politico.com/story/2011/04/birtherism-where-it-all-began-053563, https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37391652, https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/10/politics/obama-birtherism-big-lie-disinformation/index.html.

Trutherism did not end with the election of Barack Obama as US President. Trutherism is alive and well with Donald Trump in his and much of the Republican Party constituency's recent truther mendacious mantra campaign of "Stop the steal (of the 2020 US presidential election from the losing candidate former President Donald Trump)," currently the mendacious mantra campaign of  "The stolen election (from Donald Trump)." for his hoped-for comeback presidential candidacy in the 2024 US presidential election.

CEO of Truth Social Devin Nunes, formerly a Republican US congressional representative from southern California before he was hired recently by Trump as CEO of TruthSocial got himself into a public clash with entrepreneurial celebrity Elon Musk relating to his truthfulness concerning Musk's pending purchase of the popular online social media company and platform Twitter that contradicts and casts discredit on the name of the company and social platform TruthSocial that Nunes leads as well as discredits, further, his character and any pretense of his to his standing for truth, as documented in the news stories of the following click-on hyperlinks:  https://www.thedailybeast.com/elon-musk-calls-bs-on-truth-social-ceo-devin-nunes-trump-claim, https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10790273/Musk-slams-Truth-Social-CEO-Devin-Nunes-saying-encouraged-Trump-buy-Twitter.html?fr=operanews and https://www.huffpost.com/entry/elon-musk-trump-twitter-purchase-directive-false_n_6275966de4b046ad0d7c3975.  But this incident does show Truth Social CEO Nunes to be a truther and that Truth Social is really Truther Social. It appears that Nunes made the wrong or false assertion on Fox News TV that Trump encouraged Elon Musk' to buy Twitter to promote the mythical public image of Trump as a business and political tour de force and master dealmaker, as well as an opportunity to demean the Twitter social media platform that had evited Trumper from Twitter for life for his vocal support for the January 6, 2021 insurrection and its rioters under its outgoing management as well as to burnish and promote his Truth Social, while expecting Musk to tacitly play along with to help promote Trump's power persona.  

If the tactic of trutherism had succeeded in any of the aforementioned examples of it, the truthers' response would have been "Hahaha, it worked, tricked you, we won, hahaha!"  When they fail, the truthers' reaction is "Oh well, what the hell(?); we'll do it better the next time around."
