I received a comment on the forum Eons concerning the extinct saber-toothed big cat species (saber-toothed tigers) saying that convergent evolution of its saber teeth or like features by other, different species of that species' era of existence could not have miraculously evolved the same or a similar trait and that convergent evolution essentially is a fraud and indoctrination. I replied to him in depth about how convergent evolution works and is a fact and to the overall forum separately and compactly with the following commentary:

One might even be able to scientifically classify the extinct saber-toothed big cat's saber teeth as tusks, that by interactive gender attractiveness dynamics eventually became therein evolutionarily high-preference in desirability, to the female saber-toothed cats, traits (ornamentally so more than practically) for natural-selection reproductive mating and breeding, apparently like the tusks of walruses and two-tusked narwhals are now.

However, when such traits become ornamental (become functionally autonomous, such as ornamentally or aesthetically highly valued and divorced from the survival and perpetuation of the species) and survivability disadvantaged, they can contribute or lead to the extinction of the species. 

 

Saber teeth of the saber-toothed big cats may have gradually developed and culminated initially in these cats into an adaptation of extraordinarily competitive and effective defensive and attack fighting and hunting dagger teeth that by having been external and large were also scary and intimidating to ferocious competitor predator species, conferring predatory free reign to them, apart from with same species predation and reproductive mating-rights competitors, as well as special power status and sexual-mating desirability and attractiveness for them within the species and therein priority in breeding preference rights commensurate with their size, increasing them by sex and breeding selection much further to excessive and purposefully impractical size, though they may have remained frightening as tusks and have been more frightening in their oversize, as perceived external saber or fanged teeth, to competitor predator species.  Even if they became less deadly with their mouths, they would probably have known and been able to hunt and fight as well as maul and kill with their powerful legs-arms and deadly big-cat claws.  The tusks of large tusked animals of our era, such as of elephants on land and walruses in oceans, especially when they are in groups, may be perceived as scary to and intimidate or make cautious predator species, as may the external fanged teeth of musk deer,  Musk deer - Yahoo Image Search Results, and multiple species of vampire deer, Vampire Deer Facts (why some deer have fangs) - World Deer ,  Vampire Deer Exist: These Musk Deer With Fangs Are Terrifyingly Cute - The Dodo. 

 

In brief, biological evolution is the biological structural modification (gradual or incremental, cumulative genomic and morphological) of a species with the reproductive descent of the species over long time spans of many generations, in its interaction with and its, via its members and their individual differences in physical and functional traits (individual difference endowments), ability to negotiate and adapt to and survive and thrive in the environment, or its ecological niche, through the multifactorial circumstantial processes of environmental and reproductive natural selection.  Mutagenic and bio-adaptive change, and therefore, evolution, takes place in bacteria and viruses very rapidly in comparison to multicellular and such complex organisms.  Behavior, or behavioral training, in itself, that does not systemically and systematically impact on, generationally, and change the anatomy and physiology and that has not biologically stabilized, or anchored, that change of a species, has not been proven to be [linearly or reliably] heritable and evolutionary for the offspring of mere individuals or family lineages, though it may be facilitated and optimized for them by social nurture. However, mass-scale majority-population exposure to a critical level and duration of radiation, chemical-toxin or deleterious-microbial or pathogenic agent...

If the GOP wins a majority in one or both of the houses of the US Congress, or if a significant majority, or maybe a majority, of the candidates he has endorsed and campaigned for are elected to the offices for which they were candidates, he will soon after these elections officially declare his candidacy for the US presidency in the forthcoming US presidential election of 2024. He is feeling cautiously confident that these elections will generally favor the GOP in wins and is announcing his personal interest now in the 2024 US presidential election to motivate his GOP voter base to vote Republican and vote preferably for the GOP candidates he has endorsed in the 2022 elections of November the 8th -- in other words, he is working to get out or turn out his voter base. The national general elections of November 8, 2022 are a referendum on whether or not Trump is sufficiently politically competitive and should run for the US presidency, again, in 2024.

Since and beginning with the election of Barack Obama as US president in 2008, the Republican Party Congressional members in both houses of the US Congress have founded and adhered to the politically partisan strategy and practice of relentless gridlock against and obstruction of legislative initiatives, with the exceptions of tax cuts, cuts of or to social spending, or benefits to primarily the fossil fuels companies and big business, of the Democratic Party member US president to deprive the Democratic Party member US president of legislative successes and achievements that could boost the political popularity and reelectability of the Democratic Party member President and/or the electability of other Democratic Party member public office incumbents or debut candidates for public office -- this Republican strategy sprouted its roots in the Democratic Party Bill Clinton presidency, elected in November of 1992 and reelected in November of 1996.

Furthermore, a democracy or true republic (which is a representative democracy with democratic administrative and parliamentary governance processes, protocols and laws that govern the representatives) does not internally nor should in external alliances share power with invader-colonizer, dictatorial, autocratic, oligarchical, fascist, authoritarian, totalitarian, NAZI pigmentocracy, racist, ethnocentric, theocentric discriminatory and apartheid regimes. The GOP now embodies the autocratic, oligarchical, fascist, authoritarian, NAZI and racist sentiments and conduct of these.

In paraphrase of the words of GOP US Congressional members and a recently departed very popular GOP-promoter radio talk-show personality, after Obama took office as US president in January of 2009, the said GOP strategy was intended to make the Obama presidency a failed one from start to finish in his first term, which, against the odds for Obama, it did not from then to over the whole of his reelection second term.

Incidentally, the inflated gas, utilities-energy and food prices are the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic-related national social and business down-scaling and shutdowns, on a global basis, begun and mismanaged under the Trump presidency for the US, drastically reducing employment, and the production of goods and their shipment to retailers and customers, resulting in shortages of goods relative to the local and global consumer demand and competition for them, and from the Putin regime of Russia and its OPEC partner nations reducing the supply of oil and gas to NATO member nations and the USA, driving up the price of the supplies of them available in these nations. In this situation, it does not matter how much the Russian armed forces in Ukraine lose (soldiers, weaponry, etc., positions and territory) to the Ukrainian armed forces, they are able endlessly to conduct their demolition military bombing and artillery strikes against Ukrainian defenseless, sitting-ducks civilian-center cities, towns and villages.

Putin's war against Ukraine is indicatively a geopolitical war to sour the Ukrainian population and electorate on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the US population and electorate on US President Joe Biden and his/the US Congressional leadership Democratic Party as well as the populations and electorates of NATO member nations on the leaders of primarily European NATO nations -- poison the socioeconomic political ambience of these democratic nations and depopularize their top elected leaders -- in view of and in their reaction to the fuel energy shortages and economic losses they, households and businesses collectively, are experiencing as a result Russia’s retaliatory sanctions against the USA and NATO member nations for their leaders’ criticism and economic sanctions of Russia because of the Russian Putin regime’s war against Ukraine, and their leaders supplying arms to Ukraine to fight off the Russian Putin regime’s military aggression against and land grabbing in Ukraine.

On 07-19-2022 I read a science news article on the mysterious .20-decimal second, recurrent FRB resembling a heartbeat pattern and lasting for a record total duration for an FRB of 3 seconds.  The article reported that the energy source of that FRB would have to have been that of hundreds of millions of solar masses, and that pulsar or magnetar neutron stars that otherwise could explain the source of past FRBs did not fit as sources because of their single digit masses, equated with energy magnitude, recurrent heartbeat pattern and comparative, to past FRBs, extreme duration.  I attempted to save the article, to which I posted the following comment; however, the article did not save.  So I tried to research it online but could not find an article mentioning the reference to the hundreds of millions of solar masses but I did find a reputable science article on the same FRB without reference to the said solar-mass energy, whose click-on hyperlink is posted at the conclusion of this herein Twitter post of mine.  The comment I posted was:  “Celestial FRBs (fast radio-wavelength bursts) associated with the energy output of hundreds of millions of times of the energy magnitude of or output produced by our sun, our solar-planetary system's star, within a decimal second or three seconds could only be produced by a supermassive black hole, of equivalence or greater in mass, of some kind and in some way, and nothing else.” (I actually used the term milliseconds, which I saw in the numerous news stories I read on this particular FRB but which I knew was the incorrect term, instead of the term decimal seconds, an imperfect term but the best fit, in my aforementioned quoted comment.)  Supermassive black holes with such magnitudes of solar masses are well known to astronomers and human astronomy to exist.

 

In afterthought, I add the caveat that there is a weak outside chance that a small galaxy or large star cluster (a globular star cluster) with hundreds of millions of solar masses, rotating globularly as a unit, at the extreme speed of a pulsar or magnetar neutron star, or a black hole, that could be the energy source and cause of this particular heartbeat repeating FRB, a weak chance because neither a small galaxy nor globular cluster of stars has ever shown anything close to the observed necessary extreme spin velocity to generate the decimal-second time of any FRB, including the concerned FRB, whereas pulsar and magnetar neutron stars commonly have and so have black holes, some black holes of which have been radio-telescopically clocked to spin at half the speed of light, circa 335,000,000 miles per hour.  Nor has any galaxy, small or large, nor globular star cluster made of up of only or primarily either or a mix  of pulsar and/or magnetar neutron stars, or all variety of neutron stars, ever been reported to have been observed in the astronomical observations of astronomy.  Among other explanations as to how a black hole or black holes could produce this and some of the other FRBs, is the one that when two or more black holes merge, they probably generate more than outwardly going gravitational shock waves, insofar as their individually orbiting huge and powerful accretion disks of volatile chemical gas and particulate matter, and photospheres, most probably collide during their merger and ignite or trigger a chaos of astronomically large and powerful explosions of all possible kinds, possibly including nuclear explosions, that as a result radiate their own concomitant, with gravitational waves, radio frequency or wavelength blasts, and/or nuclear explosion-related EMP (electromagnetic-pulse) blast/s, into and through the surrounding outer space of the universe.  Supermassive black holes, of hundreds of millions to billions of solar masses in magnitude, might have gravitationally entrained orbiting satellites, beyond their accretion disks and toruses, of stars, with or without celestial-body solar systems, whose stars might include neutron stars, maybe pulsars and/or magnetars, and binary, or multisystem, stars, that are absorbed in, and smash up during, the black hole mergers and in some situations are cause for or contributors of cause for the concerned FRBs.
